Predicaments
As much as I love mummification/sleepsacks, rigid irons, or just being strapped down to something so tightly I can't even wiggle, I think predicament bondage is the foremost of bondage aspirations. Really it's more from a sadism/masochism perspective than a bondage one, but still; tie a guy up and make him have to decide whether his balls hurt or his shoulders hurt, kick back, and watch him torture himself? Yes, please! There's lots more to predicaments when you incorporate things like electro, timers, running water, etc., but even from a purely bondage-oriented approach there're tons of possibilities.

We're Back, Baby!
I've been horribly lazy lately and, in fact, simply haven't felt much like writing. Or posting. Or doing anything with my porn collection other than wanking to it. So after an unacceptably long hiatus, I bring you the artwork of one of my favorite kink artists I've ever happened upon.
The amazing thing about artwork is that there are no real mistakes. Or rather, an artist 's concepts are unfettered by practicality and reality. Overall a given image may not be physically possible, but the elements of the image surging through the artist's head(s) when he concocted the position are almost always adaptable.
Joe T's work (at least what I've seen of it) almost always plays with some mixture between rigid/fixed and simply restrictive. The concept of having some of your body 100% immobilized while the rest of you has some freedom, but not enough to affect the rigidly fixed part, has always struck a chord with me. I've always loved his work, and it certainly helps that he has a series of pieces that are basically illustrated Academy porn.

Suit Service
As much as I hate suits on myself, I love them on other dudes. If even to a small degree, they represent a form of power - whether financial or hierarchical. On top of this when it comes to power play, disregarding someone who is servicing you can be a pretty empowering; I once had a guy who made me service his feet while he spoke to his mortgage broker, and it was a great way to make me feel unimportant. Combine this kind of disregard with a powerful image and you have one hell of a hot concept.

Xtube Sunday
I posted a vid of this pup getting rosy-palmed a while back in a post on over-stimulation. Turns out there was an accompanying tickling video. I gotta say this pup has some wicked-hot reactions to basically any stimulus; wouldn't mind having him under my ropes.

Please Don't Feed the Moral Conservatives
I have no desire for this blog to become a place for politics, but some things I've heard in recent history have troubled me greatly. No matter what I'm arguing about, however miniscule or trivial, I go to great length to see both sides of a story or viewpoint. Recently I've come to the conclusion that when it comes to moral conservatism, there is no other side. All that is there is a blind, knee-jerk response that comes from the ego being threatened in one of two ways; a challenge to one's perception, or a challenge to a comfortable and worry-free lifestyle.
With respect to this moral conservatism, we've been playing chess with pigeons far too long. It's just as well to let them fly, but the practice of elevating thoughtlessness to the level of rhetoric needs to stop. There's a bit of writing after the jump, and if what has been said already might have offended you, please just skip to the next entry.
Tattooed Lads
I've always had a thing for the aesthetic of large surface area tattoos. The only one I have is a heart with a banner that says "Life" on my right shoulder, but in getting the tattoo I realized what it is to have an idea become a part of you permanently. Even outside of wanting desperately to hump dudes with tattoos, there's something beautiful about a living, breathing, walking work of art.

Kink Evolution
I've said it before, and I'll say it again; I've been engaging in kink play a LONG time. By the time I was 19 I'd already wet my feet enough to be annoyed with people who couldn't grasp the basics. One such nuisance was the quintessential newbie question:
"What's your favorite position to be tied in?"
Now I do know a few people who have a rather large affinity for hogties, but for me that's like pointing to my bowl of rice and asking which grain is my favorite. When I was younger and Yahoo photos was still up and running, my solution was to have my favorite 20 or so photos uploaded to an album for quick reference.
As I begin to delve further into power exchange, I find these photos - which I've cherished for years and essentially "grew up" on - to be almost dull. Of course I'd still love to be put in any of them, but when it comes to fantasy they're like a shoddy outline.
It's always important to take pride in your interests, so it's very interesting to experience shifts like this as you develop as a kinkster. It's almost cathartic when you find that the intricacies you had previously unearthed only just scratched the surface of what makes you tick. Not that it's an ego thing, but realizing you know yourself that much better does wonders for one's pride.
That being said, here are a few of the aforementioned photos that have stuck with me through the years. I hope some of you were around for the heyday of Jack's Rack and Mr. S Dungeon:

Wood as Restraint
My favorite thing about wood is that it's one of the cheaper methods to restrain a boy. Not to misrepresent how valuable the skills of a refined woodworker are, slapping together a workable piece can be fairly easy if you're not looking for a clean, aesthetic piece. From building a set of stocks, to a bondage box, to converting a closet to a bondage space, you can whip up something functional with a small bit of practice.

Updates and Upgrades
Since the primary function of this blog is to be somewhat educational - whether introducing men to new ideas, or encouraging responsible play - I felt there needed to be a few new features added.
I've added new sections to the right - "Dick's Picks" and "Kinky Comrades" - to provide some guidance on a starting point. The former is a grouping of posts I feel are particularly significant for some reason or another, and the latter is a list of blogs belonging to people I either respect, call friends, or both.
At any rate, I hope the new additions are helpful!
