Xtube Saturday

This video is one of my favorite bastinado videos. The position is interesting in that it'd be kind of awkward to have to hold your legs up like that to keep your balls from being pulled on. Really though I just love the way the Dom doesn't bother trying to say "Shut up, boy," or anything; he just calmly and quietly grabs a gag without giving him the chance to restrain himself. Definitely my kind of Dom.

If you've ever spent any time on Gearfetish or any similar sites that welcome gearheads of any kind, you'd have seen sneakers are a REALLY common fetish. I definitely find an aesthetic quality to a hot pair of sneakers or skate shoes, but usually it stems equally from a nice, masculine pair of legs sticking out of them. Other than that I regard them pretty much the same as I do socks; hot to look at, but that's the end of it.

As far as fetishes go, it's an unusually diverse one; some like the aesthetic, some like the smell, some like the tactile feel, others (*whistles innocently*) prefer them as a means to humiliate and degrade. I've seen guys jerk off onto them, fuck them with a Fleshlight stuffed inside, get stepped on and forced to lick them in the mud, have them duct taped to their face, hang them from a guy's balls, longingly sniff them .. the list goes on. Maybe there's just something in the water, but I figured I'd bring it up to get a few of you randy.

The first fetish event I ever went to was Mr. International Rubber, and I'd had my eye on rubber for a few years before that. There's just something about how sleek and shiny it looks that always caught my eye. When I finally had the good fortune to try out some rubber at MIR that year, I found the sensation is just as amazing as it looks. A lot of people really like the tightness and constriction, which I still think is hot, but for me the best part is the slide and slipperyness when it's amply lubed. There's just something really hot about how reducing friction turns every touch into a massage - like getting a back rub with tons of massage oil.

Whatever the case, there's tons of reasons people like rubber (including practicality when it comes to ass play and watersports), but when it comes to the tactile feel of it you just have to try it out yourself. People are also quick to point out that it's often cheaper than leather but in my opinion the gear is so different, apparel-wise, that you can't really suggest substituting one for the other. It's also worth noting that there are very few communities as open and welcoming as the rubber community; always happy to answer questions, and even happier to gear up some fresh meat.

Xtube Saturday

Just a studly guy getting tied up and subsequently zapped with electro. Later in the video there's some pretty hot edging too. I love the way he tires to sit up while being edged but can't because his neck is tied down. Usually having my head/neck restrained like that gets me close about twice as fast as usual; easily a favorite.

Weekend Wishlist

I haven't gotten much sub time in recently, between allergies ruining my fun all together and my dominant side rearing its brutal head. Feeling like I've definitely got an itch that needs some scratching, but I've got a hunch I'll be leaning dominant again by later this evening. We'll see! Either way if anything happens I'll do my best to document it thoroughly. O;-)

Humbling Positions

Naturally, not everyone is equipped with a versatile playroom. I personally think everyone who's serious about becoming a Dom should at least have a bondage-capable bed, there's always situations like hotel rooms that are much less suitable. While a nice, simple hog tie can work just about anywhere I much prefer something that impedes movement a bit more. After all, even hogtied a determined boy can work his way across a room with relative ease by rolling around. When you limit that capability without even restraining him to a fixed point, it's nothing short of humbling and lets a boy know staying where you leave him isn't optional.

Military Gear

Though I've mentioned before I much prefer the idea of intrinsic humiliation to iconic humiliation, military gear is a huge exception for me. It's one of the few icons that actually resonates deep in my psyche. As far as icons go, I think it's definitely one of the more prevalent ones. Unlike things similar to calling a boy "faggot," or ass play on a straight guy, it's tied less closely to a boy's personal experience and more tied into culture. Every military may have different uniforms or even different procedures, but what they do all have in common is that they are all meant to be warriors. They're meant to be fit, though, and capable, and in the right context the uniform can easily convey or enhance these traits.

THE Vac Cube

Many years ago at my first MAL I had the good fortune to meet the gentlemen who created the original vac cube. Well, while I'm not entirely certain it was the original as the concept itself is rather simple, it was at least the first (and only) of its caliber. I don't mean for this to sound like a sales pitch, but with internally fitted pipes, a latex-looking material that's more elastic than latex itself (dubbed "I Can't Believe It's Not Rubber" by many), and pipes that are both stronger and lighter than PVC? Yeah, it's certainly worth noting it stands out from other similar products.

From what I understand, ownership rights to the product have changed hands a few times, but currently I believe it's Rage Rubber which sells the cube I instantly fell in love with. Despite changing hands, the cube has consistently been at various events for a few years shy of a decade. Any time it makes an appearance at an event, the tell-tale suction line marks it sometimes leaves serve as the best ice breaker of the weekend. I have yet to meet a single boy whose eyes don't light up when I notice the lines and they flash back to the experience.

The demos they do in the mart are usually pretty standard; get a boy on all fours, play around with them a little bit, roll the cube so they end up with their paws in the air, etc. Of course there are exceptions, but that's what most people end up seeing. I must say, it doesn't even begin to demonstrate the myriad of possibilities the cube has to offer - and I'm not just talking about the fact there's a fisting cube. Being the bondage fanatic I am, the most important thing that is often overlooked is that you can freeze a boy in literally any position possible within the confines of the cube. In my first demo I started out on all fours, the suction was cut off, and I was told to put my hands behind my back. Struggling to move through the still fairly constrictive material, he turned the suction on before I could move my hands all the way back. That's all it took, and holy hell my hands were stuck.

I'll leave it at that, because I could go on for hours about how much I love this damned thing, but if you've got a disposable income that lets you not wince at the price tag this is easily the coolest toy you can purchase. It could also be a fun investment for any fetish groups that turn up a profit, as I've seen more than a few purportedly vanilla boys drawn in out of curiosity. Hopefully it won't be too terribly long before I have one in my possession.

One of the first twinges I felt regarding feet was when a friend showed me an XY magazine while we were teenagers. It was years before the thought of humiliation would enter a single fantasy, but it's an image that's been burned into my mind ever since. The issue was titled "Power," and it was clear the image of a foot almost coming down on the camera was intended to convey this image. Now that I'm a bit more in touch with my submissive side, the mere physicality of a man's foot bearing down on you is hot as fuck. Unlike being degraded through serving as furniture which requires a degree of willingness, when a man has the entirety of his weight to push down on your face or throat or even chest, he probably won't even have to go a quarter of the way there. Not a choice, a requirement; stay down.

Getting Involved

One of the most common emails I get - both from people who follow my blog and those who just identify me through profiles as a kinkster - is wondering how to get involved in their local kink community. Usually it's more from a "How can I get laid and have really hot sex?" standpoint than a "What can I do to help the community?" one, but you have to start somewhere.

Community is important when you begin delving into kink, because it helps ensure that the people you are playing with know what they're doing. I've talked to many guys who have been burned (literally in one case) by a shitty kink experience with an unworthy partner, and in a few instances I was aware of the person and their irresponsible nature. Of course there are various cliques in each local community, but most of the time guys not connected to that network in any way are isolated for good reasons. I've personally had my ass saved a few times by asking around about such an individual.

Unfortunately not all cities are created equal in this respect, and it isn't always as simple as going to a leather bar on the weekends until you meet a group of guys you hit it off with. In most cases, however, there should be some form of kink group however small it may be. There are a number of sites that can assist you in finding individuals in your area; for homos, for both heteros and homos, for just about for anyone (though it's pay-only which I find to be ridiculous), and there's also which helps more with finding groups. I, myself, also use anything from Grindr to A4A to ManHunt to find guys, but I've been at this a while and don't mind wearing my kink on my sleeve; if you're looking for support and commonality your best bet is to stick to the kink-specific sites which will be less judging of your interests.

In addition to websites, you can also kick it old school and try some in-person or more serendipitous methods. Despite kink being on somewhat of an upswing, it is still something that hasn't quite injected itself fully into "mainstream" gay culture. Things are still very youth and glam-oriented, and cater to a very specific image; as such, kinksters aren't always welcome in environments trying to cultivate said image unless they play that part. Barring the obvious possibility of a leather bar, check out any gay bars (or mix bars, even) that might fall closer into the "dive bar" category. If ever there was a safe haven for kinksters, it's bars that don't care about having a specific atmosphere and would welcome a dozen extra people coming in for drinks no matter what. It's also good because they tend to be pretty judgement-free places where it's easier to be yourself. After all, if a Prada-wearing, judgmental twink would walk in and say "Ew" he won't stay long enough to make you feel self-conscious about wearing leather or being shirtless and hairy.

It's also helpful to talk to your bartenders. Obviously you don't want to monopolize the time of someone in the service industry while they're on the job, but they do interact with a lot of people. They're also often aware of competing bars' events and happenings and - duh - have their own lives. It doesn't hurt to ask on a slow night if there are any bear, leather, rubber, sports gear, bondage, or whatever gatherings that happen on occasion, or if people inclined to those circles migrate towards certain bars. Maybe there's a bar you hadn't heard of, or maybe there's a bar that has a gay night or even a fetish night once a month you hadn't yet seen a flyer for. Some might make it to the local gay magazines and newspapers (which can also be good resource materials), but they're generally not all-inclusive.

If all else fails, you can always commute. If your city really is so small that there's no recognizable community, look to the nearest metropolitan city. I wouldn't suggest randomly driving out there with the hopes of meeting kinksters randomly, but you can research events through the internet methods mentioned above and get to town on an event night where there's guaranteed to be kinky folk. Of course it's going to cost some money in gas and drinking presents a problem if you have to drive back home, but on top of having access to kinky friends close enough for a day or weekend trip, you might meet people who commuted there as well from an area nearer to you. This is especially true of larger events like Mid-Atlantic Leather, Mr. International Rubber, Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend, and International Mr. Leather. Most of these larger events also offer volunteer shifts to help set up or maintain the event (coat check, door man, package selling, etc) during which you're guaranteed to meet plenty of friendly kinksters.

Becoming immersed in the kink community - or growing one where there isn't one present - can be an arduous task, and patience is paramount. Essentially it boils down to how much you value developing your sexuality. I place a higher value on it than most since bondage has almost always been a part of my life, but I've talked to far too many forty-somethings who regret not exploring kink earlier in their life for me to not encourage others to do so as soon as possible. That being said, if feeling kink-dry is something weighing heavily on you with your current living situation don't think "Oh, it's just sex;" your sexuality is a part of you and should be given the reverence and prioritization it deserves.

Video Favorite

This particular clip has been one of my favorites for years.  I hadn't been able to find it in at least a year or two but it randomly turned up on an old computer, so I figured I'd share. Part of why it's so appealing to me is that a lot of his reactions are similar to my own so it's a lot easier to envision myself in his predicament.

I reeeeeally like bondage/kink artwork. Last time I posted any it was exclusively Joe T's work which is amazing, but there are tons of artists out there. A lot of them have, in addition to a visual style, a very specific style of play that goes on in the scenes. There's one artist who comes to mind where almost every piece he puts out is essentially about a "boy factory" where men are systemically turned into slaves and kept captive, which is pretty hot. At any rate, enjoy!
