Military Gear

Though I've mentioned before I much prefer the idea of intrinsic humiliation to iconic humiliation, military gear is a huge exception for me. It's one of the few icons that actually resonates deep in my psyche. As far as icons go, I think it's definitely one of the more prevalent ones. Unlike things similar to calling a boy "faggot," or ass play on a straight guy, it's tied less closely to a boy's personal experience and more tied into culture. Every military may have different uniforms or even different procedures, but what they do all have in common is that they are all meant to be warriors. They're meant to be fit, though, and capable, and in the right context the uniform can easily convey or enhance these traits.
